Después del shock que supuso su debut homónimo, del cual se agotaron todas las unidades tanto en CD como en LP, así como su posterior gira en la que reventaron el aforo en todas sus fechas, THE JIM JONES REVUE vuelven con un nuevo disco bajo el brazo titulado “Here To Save Your Soul” y para celebrarlo realizarán una nueva gira europea que pasará una vez más por España.
“Here To Save Your Soul” agrupa por primera vez en formato físico todos los singles y caras B que el grupo ha ido editando hasta la fecha: Rock ́n ́Roll Psychosis, Big Hunk O Love, Cement Mixer, Good Golly Miss Molly, Princess & The Frog y Freak of Nature, además de dos nuevas canciones, Burning Your House Down y Elemental.

Inzona Magazine.- Here to save your soul, una recopilación de singles y caras-b. ¿En qué momento está TJJR despues de un apoteósico debut?
The Jim Jones Revue.- Hasta ahora, nuestros singles sólo habían estado disponibles descargándolos de internet. Pensamos que estaría bien sacarlo en formato digital. También lo tenemos en formato vinilo que tuvo una buena aceptación. La respuesta a nuestro primer LP ha sido increíble, mucho más allá de nuestras expectativas. Sentimos que hemos cogido al toro por los cuernos!

I.- Se os ha descrito como un choque entre Little Richard y MC5. ¿Cómo os describís vosotros?
TJJR.- Eso es todo un elogio. Supongo que sólo estamos intentando capturar la pura esencia del Rock and Roll.

I.- Habeis tenido un éxito rotundo en la gira y compartido escenario con grandes bandas. ¿Qué tal la experiencia? ¿Os ha sorprendido tanta aceptación?
TJJR.- Ha estado muy bien salir y tocar… hemos tenido actuaciones geniales y tocado con algunas grandes bandas. Cuando tocas con una buena banda hace que tú toques mejor también. Creo que hemos encontrado un ritmo que es fácil de entender, tiene la energía del punk rock, pero también un swing que la hace buena para bailar. A la gente le gusta!

I.- ¿Cómo se presnta 2010? ¿Qué planes tenéis a corto plazo?
TJJR.- 2010 va a estar liado para JJR… Estamos escribiendo, pre produciendo y grabando para un nuevo LP. Dando nuestros primeros pasos en USA con SXSW. Japón está en nuestros planes. El lanzamiento del Nuevo LP después del verano y por supuesto conciertos, conciertos y más conciertos… actuaciones en vivo durante todo el año.

I.- ¿Hay fechas confrimadas en España?
TJJR.- Estamos en Castellón a finales de febrero y sin duda volveremos, seguramente que a finales del verano..

I.- Para todos los que no han tenido ocasión de veros en acción. ¿Cómo es TJJR en dirento?
TJJR.- Para empezar hay que entender que estamos aquí para trabajar… así que esperamos respuesta de nuestros fans… no puedes alcanzar el éxito sin trabajo!. Tenemos el compromiso de elevar la energía del Rock and Roll. Normalmente cuando uno empieza a bailar el resto le sigue. No estamos satisfechos hasta ver a la gente bailando como locos!

Inzona Magazine.- Here to save your soul is a compilation of singles and b-sides. How do you feel after a spectacular debut?
The Jim Jones Revue.- Up until this point, our singles have only been available as internet downloads. We thought it was nice to offer that material on a physical format. Also, we had a really good response to the LP on vinyl, so we have it available on that too. The response to the our first LP. has been incredible, way beyond our expectations. We all feel like we’ve caught a tiger by the tail!

I.- You have been described as a crash between Little Richard and MC5. How do you describe yourselves?
TJJR.- That description is a real compliment, I guess we’re just trying to capture the pure essence of Rock n Roll.

I.- A huge success your tour and sharing stage with great bands. What about the experience? Have you been surprised by such a big success?
TJJR.- It’s been good to get out there & play … we’ve had some great shows, & played with some great bands. When you play a show with a band that are really good, it makes you play better too … everyone ‘ups their game’ … I think we’ve found a groove that’s easy to understand, it has punk rock energy, but also, has a swing that makes it good to dance to. People like that!

I.- What about 2010 and your projects in short term?
TJJR.- 2010 is gonna be a busy year for the JJR … We’re working on writing, pre poduction & recording of a new LP. Making our first steps into the USA with SXSW. Japan is on the horizon. The release of the new LP. after the summer & of course we have gigs, gigs, gigs, … live shows all through the year.

I.- Have you got confirmed dates in Spain?
TJJR.- We’re in Castello for the end of February & no doubt back again, probably the end of the summer

I.- For those who haven’t had the chance to be in one of your concerts. How is a TJJR live?
TJJR.- First of all, you need to understand, we’re here to work … & we expect the same from our fans … you can not raise the roof by standing around !
We have a commitment to high energy Rock n Roll . Generally, Once the good sisters at the front start dancing, then the rest of the congregation follow.
We’re not really satisfied until there are people dancing on tables!
